Scripps La Jolla Swing Kids Photos |Natalie + Vince

As a San Diego family photographer, I usually shoot families with parents and their kids. If you are not in the mood though, no problem at all, you can just have your kids be photographed. They do change a lot faster. As a San Diego kids photographer I definitely want to make the shoot fun and with a sense of adventure! For these kids family photos: Scripps Woods Swing La Jolla, we felt like we were on a scavenger hunt!

We shot in the wooded area above Scripps Beach near UCSD. I have done a few photoshoots here, maternity, engagement, etc. For the past 3 years though I had been wanting to shoot at this talked about “swing” that exists nearby. I asked my client, if she was ok if we continued in this area as we had shot on the beach in her prior family shoots. She was totally ok with keeping it in the woods as she liked the diversity. It’s fun shooting the same families year after year and seeing their families grow!

I loved the vibe of the kids playing in the woods. It gave a feel of being explorers! I am always supportive of activities that make kids creative and use their imagination. With so much technology going on in the world today, I want to make sure kids are still going out in nature and staying curious! Looking adorable too in her Alice + Ames toddler dress!

I mean the scenery was just breathtaking! These open fields in La Jolla really make you feel like you are in the countryside! That was kind of the vibe I wanted, kids playing in like Tuscany or something! These were the most well behaved kids ever! It’s always a good idea to put kids in an environment where they can be free to roam. Run free!
