SoHo 63 Wedding Photos | Chandler, AZ | Jocelyn + Ervin
As a San Diego wedding photographer, I do get a lot of clients coming from our neighbor state of Arizona. I usually photograph them here in San Diego, but this time I was asked to go there, specifically to Chandler, Arizona. In these SoHo 63 Wedding Photos | Chandler, AZ | Jocelyn + Ervin had a beautiful fall wedding! I had done their maternity and family photos in previous sessions. I was so honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding too! It was my first time photographing at SoHo 63. If you are looking for simple beauty, with nearby rooftop access, beautiful buildings nearby with greenery, then SoHo 63 is your Arizona wedding venue!
There is both a bridal room and groom room at the venue. If you are looking to get ready there though, I would suggest getting ready at a nearby hotel or air b n b. There isn’t enough room for or natural light for getting your hair and make up done there. It is more like a changing place. So the bride can arrive in her robe and change into her dress there.
As a helpful tip, use the front office sales office room for photos of the bride. There is such beautiful natural light that comes through. The furniture and backdrop adds a little French touch. Make sure you know where groom is so the couple does not cross paths before they are supposed to.
For their first look and some of their formal portraits, I utilized the county administrator building that is right next door. Since the wedding was on a weekend day, I didn’t have to worry about people being in the background. It added so much greenery to the photos. I was so happy to find it when I was scouting the venue the day before the wedding!
Lastly, there is a great spot to photograph during blue hour! There is a parking lot across the street (and to your right) where you can go to the open air top floor. You can get some photos with palm trees in your backdrop and the beautiful skies!
