WEDDING photos: Bali Hai, San Diego
It’s great to go back and shoot at a familiar San Diego wedding venue. In this post, WEDDING photos: Bali Hai, San Diego. Bali Hai is one of my favorites because you get a mix of tropical with cityscape. San Diego provides a beautiful backdrop for your I Dos.
The flowers by Moments in Bloom were beautiful! Really popped with the blue backdrop and went perfectly with the bridesmaids watermelon colored dresses. I never buy flowers to decorate my home, but I do love wedding bouquets! Floral arranging doesn’t get the credit it should deserve! They always pair nicely with wedding bands! The bride and groom had their rings kept inside a cute wooden ring holder with their names and wedding date.
The groom’s family was adorable and there was so much emotion before the wedding even started. You could tell it was going to be a beautiful ceremony and it was!
It was a very intimate and spiritual ceremony. Really brought everyone together. As everyone enjoyed the cocktail hour we quickly went over and snapped family portraits and then we did the couples formal portraits. In an effort to provide different backgrounds we shot the family portraits by the water and tree.
Chasing the light that finally was shining through we walked down the path towards the tropical foliage area and shot the formal portraits. Bride had mentioned that they don’t like to pose so I just let them be in their moment capture them how they are naturally and inserted a few poses here and there.
Flipped around and took some more portraits with the cityscape background.
For those of you who don’t know, Bali Hai is famous for it’s May Tai’s! You are guaranteed a great time at your reception! The bride and groom definitely left their sweat on the dance floor!
Very happy for the bride and groom and wish them the best! And they lived happily every after … 🙂
