As a San Diego wedding photographer, it’s always exciting to photograph at a new San Diego wedding venue. San Diego has so many beautiful wedding venues, whether you want greenery, ocean or architecture. In this Junipero Serra Museum Wedding Photos | Bianca + Eric went for architecture and greenery too! They had an intimate wedding and the outdoor space at the museum was perfect! Everyone could mingle easily and enjoy the nighttime feel! Everything is right on site too, no need to drive anywhere. Makes for a simple timeline!
Whenever you are photographing at a new venue, I highly encourage you to visit the site before the wedding day. I like to have a wedding walk thru with my couple within a week or two of the wedding date. This way, we can all see how the venue will look like on the day of. I like to meet with them around ceremony time. You want the lighting to be similar. This helps couples out tremendously! It definitely lessens their nerves when being on site and reviewing everything before the big day. Remember that although you may plan for things to go a certain way, be prepared for the unexpected the day of.
When planning your wedding day, list out your must haves. I would highly suggest having a wedding coordinator. The last thing you want to do on your big day is organize and coordinate. You have spent so much money on this day, you want to enjoy it! Angela, from One Fabulous Event, was the coordinator for this wedding. I can’t stress enough how imperative they are for your big day. Once you confirm yours, make sure to let him or her know what you would like to see, what you envision. Make sure you also communicate that with your photographer. Your coordinator will communicate it too, but it’s a great idea to have that conversation with your photographer too!
