The Thursday Club Wedding | Molly + Rudi
Weddings in 2020 were definitely affected, one way or another, due to COVID-19. Many couples had to reschedule, change venues, change guests lists, etc. In this case, the couple had to reschedule, change venues and modify guests lists. It was my first time shooting at The Thursday Club and I was quite impressed. Definitely has a beautiful view and plenty of spots around the venue to shoot at.

There is a small bridal room where the bride could get ready. I took her photos right outside the room that include the zipping of the dress, and her portraits along with her mom and maid of honor. Around the corner the groom hung out in the patio. We took the groom family portraits next to the gigantic tree. I used that tree to hang the groom’s coat and the bride’s dress.

I was a little concerned about the ceremony time as it was at 2pm and I thought it would be too bright. The venue, however, had plenty of options to diffuse the lights. Lots of trees, arches, and other shaded areas. I arrived early to do scouting around the venue so that I would know where the shaded spots would be beforehand.

The bride’s bouquet and wedding florals were fantastic. The mix of roses and bugambilia is something that would have never occurred to me, which is why I am not the florist! The one who does this masterful work is Hey Clementine. It was excruciating hot that day and Andrea was working super hard and it paid off!

It was time for the ceremony. I made sure to drink plenty of water beforehand as the heat was unbearable! Especially since we were all wearing masks, I definitely wanted to make sure I was hydrated and not risk fainting!
