San Diego Real Estate Agent Personal Branding Photos | Jenny

As a San Diego lifestyle photographer, I love photographing personal branding sessions! A personal branding session is when you work in a career where you provide a service personally. This can be a coach, agent, lawyer, loan officer, etc. You are your business. You are the brand. The reason you have a personal branding photo session is to have visual content to use towards your newsletter, website, social media, etc. Depending on the kind of session you book, you can create content that lasts you for 2 quarters. It is very efficient to have these sessions, so you don’t have to worry about creating content on a daily. Especially wondering about the creative, hair and makeup props, wardrobe, etc. In these San Diego Real Estate Agent Personal Branding Photos | Jenny found an incredible place on Peerspace for the shoot location.

When getting ready for a personal branding session, the pre production work is crucial for a successful session. Here is where you and your client discuss the creative, wardrobe, props, objectives and goals, etc. for the shoot. I usually have two calls. The first is to discuss the expectations and purpose of the shoot. You want to hear the client explain why they are doing the shoot and what they want to get out of it. You want to make sure they are prepared for the shoot. This will help the shoot go more smoothly and efficiently. I create a guide called How To Prepare For Your Personal Branding Session.

Creating a shot list helps keep you on track during the session. It reminds you of what kind of shot you thought of with which props, wardrobe and location. This doesn’t mean you can’t steer away from the list. You can certainly do an impromptu photo. The list helps create a checklist for you to remember the must have photos your client needs.
