Point Loma Family Photos | Arnold
San Diego family portrait season is upon us now that it’s officially fall, although it still feels like summer! These Point Loma family photos | Arnold family had a new addition to the group! Girl #3! It’s so cool to be able to see how the family grows! I had done their maternity shoot at the end of last year in Del Mar. So it was cool to switch up neighborhoods for their family of 5 shoot plus extended family!
These girls are so much fun to shoot and they are definitely ready to be models for Zara Kids. I keep tagging them when I post their photos on Instagram in the hopes that they will be discovered. In the meantime, they will continue to play dress up and I will continue to photograph their care free spirit!
I don’t know if it’s due to the pandemic, but I am having more family shoots that include extended family as well. What that means is that it’s not just my clients and their kids. They are also including grandparents, aunts and uncles. I think it’s great! That way everyone is included in the memories and everyone can enjoy the photos. Plus it’s a great excuse to dress up and get together as a family.
I had shot a wedding at this Point Loma location before, it’s actually right next to the San Diego Yacht Club. It’s awesome because on this one path, you get marina views with the sailboats and yachts and on the other side you have all this vegetation and plant life that makes you think you are on some tropical island! It’s all about finding those nooks!
One thing to point out, is that the sun dips behind the hill or “Loma” of Point Loma so make sure to determine the “actual” sunset for when you are shooting there. You do get a nice after glow and blue light there so it you don’t calculate in time, it’s ok.
