La Jolla Personal Branding Photos | FR
As a La Jolla personal branding photographer, I love when I get to work with clients again! With each session the shoot flows faster and more creative. You learn what your client wants and envisions more easily with each session. Your client also knows what to expect and how to better prepare for the session. The outfits get selected easier, the props, the design and set up of the shoot space. It’s a win win! In these La Jolla Personal Branding Photos | FR, I was shooting portraits for socials and interviews. My client wanted updated content from the previous session. A session usually gives you about six months worth of content, depending on how often you use it. I just shot with her again last week and she confirmed that the content lasted six months. So we plan on doing shoots twice a year now.

The best way to prepare for your personal branding session is to think about and write down what your goals and objectives are with these photos. Where will they be seen? As a banner? A a portrait? It’s important to envision where they will be placed so your photographer knows whether to shoot more in horizontal mode or portrait. So for example, if you are revamping your website, ask your designer what direction the majority of the photos should be shot in. If some should be more unclose and others from far away. What ideas are there for the “hero”shot. These are all things you want to have ready and discussed with your photographer BEFORE the shoot. You will and should have creative calls with your photographer before shoot day to go over these details.

Once you have an idea of layout needs, you can move on to outfits and props. You definitly want to have these laid out and decided on BEFORE the shoot. I highly suggest trying on the looks and ordering them in order of priority. In a typical two hour shoot, it is safe to say, you can allocate 30 min per look. This includes changing in and out outfit. So I always suggest to have 6 ready, just in case. You can aim for 8 if you are ambitious, extend your time and have worked with your photographer before.
