Have you ever run late for your family session? The great thing about having your session at home is that if one kid is ready but not the other, you can start with the one who is ready. You save time and aren’t rushing against the light. I find that children are either super ready at the beginning or don’t light up till the end of the session. You can get a lot of candids by asking them their favorite spots around their home.
This session as outside, but there are some tips if you want to also include the indoors. Your photographer will most likely want to photograph areas where natural light shines through.
