WEDDING photos: La Jolla Beach Elopement
This June gloom has overstayed its welcome, but it still couldn’t wipe the smiles off the beautiful bride and groom from last night’s wedding photos: La Jolla Beach Elopement. The wedding was toes in the sand at Little Point put together by the fabulous Dream Beach Wedding. If you are looking to do a low key elopement at many San Diego’s beautiful beaches make sure to reach out to them.

Can we talk about the arrival of the bride!? This was a San Diego Destination Wedding / Elopement. The bride and groom were staying at the Grande Colonial Hotel La Jolla and they each got dropped off (separately) by their “London Cabbie” looking car. It made for some great photos!

The elopement started at 7pm, which normally would have been a great time for the magic hour light, but unfortunately as it was overcast I knew the light would be gone quick! I wanted to quickly snap some portraits of the bride and groom so I could use as much natural light as possible.

Look at that reaction!! He was soooooo happy and smitten by his beautiful bride! I completely forgot to ask her where it was from! The beading was incredible! He then proceeded to climb up the rocks to accept her from her father and then carried her down to he sand. I MEAN HOW CUTE!!!

I was in tight quarters shooting between the sand and rocks, I couldn’t get a clean wide shot of their ceremony. I got such a workout climbing up and down the rocks trying to get all the angles of their beautiful ceremony!

Elopements are so intimate and it really does become about the bride and groom. With the waves crashing and their close family nearby, the bride and groom had an emotional exchange of vows. I almost started to tear up! It was so sweet and really makes you feel how these two really love each other!
