Parq West Elopement | Tina + Brad
As a San Diego wedding photographer, I have seen many couples this year have to make changes to their 2020 weddings due to COVID-19. Many rescheduled to 2021, while others who wanted to get married this year opted for an elopement option. Many venues have worked to create the best elopement experience a couple could ever have. Parq West, is one of those venues that have created an elopement package.
Parq West has great getting ready rooms for the bride and groom! The groom getting ready room has beautiful blue walls and a bit of a nautical theme. It was giant windows that face west and south so lots a of natural light enters in the afternoon.
The bridal suite also has great natural light. It is a large room so plenty of space for the bride and her bridal party. It also has a piano in the room and a large mirror! Definitely fun accessories to play with for photos. Also played around with the shadows and light with the blinds. That’s the fun thing about styled shoots, you have the time to play around and be more creative.
The event managers at Parq West commented how many couples either have their ceremony at Parq West or at a religious venue. That is the great thing about this venue is that you have many options. In this case, of the styled shoot, the ceremony took place on site and was set up for what the elopement would look like.
The venue also offers diverse backdrops where you can have the couple formal portraits with a garden feel and a city urban feel. We definitely had fun shooting around. The clouds started to roll in but we tried to get as much sunlight as possible.
As part of their special elopement package, Parq West also offers champagne toasts. I automatically suggested we celebrate with a champagne spray! I am just loving champagne sprays!
