WEDDING photos: Bali Hai Restaurant, San Diego
San Diego summer wedding season has begun! What better venue to have a taste of San Diego’s cityscape view and tropical feel than Bali Hai! These wedding photos: Bali Hai Restaurant, San Diego was a destination wedding. The day started off a little overcast, but then the sun shined through! The bride and groom got ready at nearby locations about 10 minutes from the wedding venue.

Getting ready photos are something you should consider if you are wanting to get details of your wedding shoes, wedding jewelry, last hair and make up touches. They are all parts of the big wedding event. I always like to have at least an hour or two to shoot the getting ready photos, wedding party photos, the putting on dress photo and some portraits. This isn’t a must, but definitely is an option if you are wanting to capture everything from your big day!

I always recommend, in an effort to be efficient with time, to have all the special wedding detail pieces you want photographed ready and placed on a table near a window with natural light. Make sure background is free of trash, food and drinks. The big day can get hectic and this definitely saves time 😉 This can include, but not limited to: wedding invite, jewelry, shoes, bouquet, hair pieces, etc.

Same can go for groom and his groomsmen. They might have watches, cuff links, bowtie or tie, suspenders, handkerchief, groomsmen gifts, etc. It’s a fun way to remember 30 years from now all the small things that made you big day amazing!

Bali Hai has a great set up to have different backdrops for wedding portraits. We had 2 rounds of family portraits. First family portraits taken from each side before the ceremony. Then we also did family portraits together with bride and groom after the ceremony.
