WEDDING photos: North Coronado Beach

WOW! What a beautiful Coronado beach wedding I photographed this past weekend! October weddings are getting the most beautiful light! The bride and groom were young very much in love and made for a beautiful couple to photograph! I could not stop editing these WEDDING photos: North Coronado Beach. We begin at Glorietta Bay Inn where the bride and her bridesmaid were getting ready.

Loved the moment when Mother of the Bride, who was also Matron of Honor and who was also the wedding planner, zipped up the brides dress! That’s when everyone realizes that it’s go time, it’s happening! The Garden Suite at Glorietta Bay Inn has great natural light coming in. On top of that the decor is perfect! There was a big black chest and the moment I saw it, my mind went YES and envisioned the bride with it. So I quickly moved the sofa and began to play with my new prop! The bride and her mother looked stunning! Ready to receive an Oscar!

We also did the first look at Glorietta Bay Inn. They have a beautiful staircase when you enter past the lobby and we thought it would be a great idea to have the bride walk down the staircase as the groom watches. Usually I do the poking and turn around, but we agreed that it would be best if her hubby to be watched her as she came down the stairs looking like a beautiful Italian Goddess!

We had the wedding party waiting in the other room to give the bride and groom a private moment as they saw each other for the first time. The bride could not contain her excitement as she leaped into his arms as soon as she touched the ground! It was so beautiful to watch! YOUNG LOVE! We then took the wedding party photos here too. The light was just too good!

Before each wedding, I always like to do a final walk through on property with my couples. This way we can lock down locations for formal and family portraits. For this wedding we were going to walk across the street and go to the Hotel Del and surrounding areas. However, we had to do some portraits here as well as the light was just too favorable! Could they be more beautiful?

As I always mention I love shooting with different backdrops. So clearly we had GBI covered, it was off to the Hotel Del and surrounding areas. We started in front of the hotel where they have these tall Sequoia looking trees. They make such a statement that I had told her a couple weeks before it would be a good spot. Then we tried to shoot at Hotel Del but they had an event going on so we could only take a few quick snaps. That’s ok though, we rolled with the punches and saw some green plants outside the hotel and finished our portraits there. We didn’t have that much time anyway. (wish we had though)

Then we all 3 hopped in my car and drove to the ceremony site located at North Coronado Beach. I could have spent more hours shooting their portraits but we were on a tight schedule. When we pulled up the bride was so excited to see the set up!! There were no nerves, just pure excitement!! With the sun setting, it was a beautiful ceremony! The grooms friends gave the crowd some excitement as they came to support!

Chasing the last bit of light we did family portraits and I snuck in a few more formal portraits. I couldn’t help it, they needed to have some beach shots to complete their wedding! Everything went smoothly! Contact Wanderlust Weddings for your next wedding!
