WEDDING photos: Bali Hai Restaurant, San Diego, CA
Another beautiful San Diego Fall wedding at Bali Hai! The weather was perfect, the bride and groom were excited and filled with love, the music was playing and the sweets were tasty! These wedding photos: Bali Hai Restaurant, San Diego, CA were a San Diego destination wedding. The couple was from Arizona, but fell in love with the outdoor wedding venue at Bali Hai and decided to get married here.

The bride and groom both got ready at the Best Western Plus on Shelter Island. It is one minute away from Bali Hai. So logistically it’s perfect! The bride had the suite, with an amazing patio view of the marina!! You couldn’t ask for a better more calm way to get ready then with a water view! The groom got ready upstairs, as they were not doing first look and so we had to make sure to keep them separated before the ceremony.

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to hang the wedding dress!! Right outside the suite was this arch, as well as a grassy garden area. I knew this was the place to shoot the bride getting ready photos. The suite also had a wooden table that I could lay all the wedding details on. Wedding Photo Tip: I used one of the bed sheets to create a white background. You try as much as you can to prepare for wedding photos, so sometimes you need to think fast and be innovative when you need to alter a background 🙂

I think the P in Best Western Plus stands for PALM TREES! They were everywhere and gave so much greenery to the photos! Perfect spot! I did the family portraits on the balcony patio with he boats and palm trees in the background. I shot the bridal zipping of wedding dress in the suite patio.

The bride looked stunning!! Her bouquet was made by Breezy Day Florals and her hair and makeup was done by Mobile Beauty Team. They did an amazing job!! The makeup looked so natural and it stayed on all night!!

AAHHH I mean she just glowed like the sun!! She worked the train, she laughed, she smiled! What a vision!!! Ready for the ceremony now at Bali Hai! The guests were greeted with a live Mariachi band!!

Then we did the family portraits right off to the side next to this beautiful big tree.

Formal portraits needed to be done ASAP as we were loosing precious natural light.

Time for the grand entrance and reception! Treats and sweets provided by Jenny Wenny cakes.
