USD Grad Photos | JR
As a USD grad portrait photographer, I love getting to see all the beautiful buildings and flowers that are around campus. USD has one of the earlier graduation dates so we can start doing grad portraits in late March early April and catch all that spring has to offer! The earlier the better as when we start to get into May we run the risk of May Gray weather. Usually grad portraits are done around sunset time. I always end them a little before sunset as the sun dips below the hill. There are so many great places to photograph on campus! In these USD Grad Photos | JR, had some fun shots too, like the big beach chair! It’s great to have a variety of photos for your grad portraits.

Your grad portraits are all about you and your vision! You can wear the cap and gown if you want or not or just for a few. You can have an outfit change or two if you like. Guys mostly wear business casual and ladies wear white dresses, but please feel free to wear whatever you like! Take advantage of this moment to get your portraits taken! Not only that, many of you are going off to the workforce or high education and you may need a headshot for your CV. Make sure to ask your photographer specifically for a headshot! Here is your chance!

Photographers may shoot a lot on campus, but you know the ins and outs. Your favorite hangout spots, your favorite classroom. Feel free to let your photographer know specific locations you want your photo taken at. Something for you to remember all the memories you had there. If areas are spread across campus, make sure you book enough time with your photographer to get to all of them. Make sure to steam your gown, outfit and stols. Many grads open their gown up for the first time right before the shoot and you can see the creases. Go ahead and steam the gown and anything else that needs it and have it hanging on a hanger.
