The Wedding Bowl La Jolla Beach Wedding Photos | E + N

As a La Jolla wedding photographer, it is a very popular and beautiful choice to get married at the Wedding Bowl. Also known as Cuvier Park, this epic location that rests above the ocean requires a permit. Even if you are eloping, with no guests, you still need to obtain a permit. You can go here for more info. You get the permit for four hours which is enough time for your ceremony photos, family portraits and couple portraits. You will take your couple portraits all along the coastline. There are many restaurants nearby for a reception. In these The Wedding Bowl La Jolla Beach Wedding Photos | E + N celebrated their wedding with close friends and family. They then headed over to Old Venice in Point Loma for their reception.

You can organize your Wedding Bowl wedding on your own or you can hire a coordinator. There are also many companies that offer packages at Cuvier Park. You may want to inquire if some options you can hire on your own like flowers or photography. You can just have a ceremony or you can add a reception to our ceremony. It all depends on how many activities you want to stack on the day. Always remember that it’s about you and your partner and the words you exchange to one another.

The best time of the year for a wedding here is fall and winter. Spring can have the May gray and summer has too many tourists around. Fall and winter have great weather and less crowds. Of course your photographer can work around weather or people so if you have your heart set on a summer wedding, go for it! You will definitely dip your toes in the sand! On that note, I would highly suggest checking the tide calendar. You want to make sure that low tide occurs near your ceremony or sunset time. This way you get complete access of the beach at La Jolla Cove.
