Solana Beach Engagement Photos | J + M
As a San Diego engagement photographer, I love when clients choose locations that have a connection or meaning to their relationship. It could be something simple like a special park or beach, or a restaurant. In these Solana Beach Engagement Photos | J + M they reminisced on when they would take the train to see each other! So they decided on Fletcher Cove for their engagement photos, so that we could get the beach and the Solana Beach train station! I love the mix of locations and the memory of it! Everything was within walking distance so we were able to cover all these different backdrops within their session!
It was a beautiful fall afternoon! Fall has some special sunsets where the sun just hugs you tight! This was on a weekday, because I knew this was a popular beach and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too crowded. Of course we had summer weather and there were some beachgoers, but nothing a little photoshop can’t help with! Plus by the time it’s sunset, many people have left already too. We left the beach location till the end anyway to really soak up that magic hour light!
If you are going to do some walking during your Solana Beach engagement session, make sure they are wearing comfy shoes or bring an extra pair to change into. The last thing you want is for them to have foot pain. It will show in the photos! So make sure you go over the session beforehand and make any suggestions for wardrobe! It’s always better to be prepared! Also, if it is going to be a warm day, it doesn’t hurt to suggest they bring water! It can be nerve wracking to be in front of the camera. Staying hydrated will help make them feel comfortable!
