Santee Courthouse Wedding Photos | Y + J
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love giving my clients the best wedding experience ever! A civil wedding does not mean you don’t get the full wedding experience! You get a more enhanced experience where you can focus on your partner and your love. You get to remove all the stress of organizing a full day event, and managing guest expectations and timeline. If the thought of organizing a full day wedding makes you uneasy, then a civil wedding is definitely something to consider. There is a location for everyone’s preference! If you check the San Diego marriage license website, you can see the options. You have San Diego, Santee, San Marcos and Chula Vista. In these Santee Courthouse Wedding Photos | Y + J added an adventure element to their wedding day! We did a small trek up some nearby Santee boulders.

Santee offers lots of nature filled backdrops but it is located in east county. In the summertime, this means that it does get very hot early in the day. I would always suggest to schedule your Santee civil wedding appointment ceremony early, like 8 or 8:30am. If you end up with a mid morning appointment, no sweat (pun intended)! You can always start your session in reverse. Meaning, you can start with the couple photos first and finish you session with the ceremony. This way, you don’t have to be doing your couple photos in the unbearable heat. Early morning sessions are great for lighting too! Not obligatory, but definitely something to consider!

While on the topic of weather, also keep in mind that San Diego can still have its seasons. It’s not as dramatic and distinctive as other parts of the country. If we have a rainy winter, then we do get a beautiful spring bloom! Summer is always there and will turn some of the nature to brown. Fall is pretty mild, but some trees do change colors. Winter will keep it bear. When taking into account the Santee courthouse location, spring and summer are impactful. A rainy winter will give way to a wild flowers in the boulder area. Summer will then dry that up. If you are looking for flowers, then I would plan on a spring wedding.
