San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | S + J

As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love the intimate moments that a small and intimate civil wedding brings. The couple is not distracted from tending to their guests, or adhering to an all day timeline. They can be present with themselves and with one another. The focus stays on the union that is transpiring on that day. Having close friends and family with you makes it even more special because these are your people! The ones who you choose to share this special momentous occasion with! In these San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | S + J, shared this beautiful day with close friends and family. As explained, when getting your San Diego marriage license, you can assign two witnesses. So you can make your guests feel extra special.

If you don’t have any guests, just know that I can be your witness. Save yourself the witness fee and rest assured that I can sign as a witness. Fun fact, if you can sign your name then you can be a witness. So if your kid or niece or nephew or grandchild want to be the witness, he or she certainly can! Makes for a good reward for good behavior during the ceremony. The ceremony is fairly quick. You will recite the vows dictated to you by the officiant. Should you want to say your own vows, you can. The officiant will just ask that you wait til they are done with the ceremony.

The optimal times to schedule your San Diego marriage license appointment is either first thing in the morning, which is 8 or 8:30AM or 2.5 hours before sunset time. Unless you are adding an additional location for your wedding couple portraits, then you want to book 3 hours before sunset. This makes for optimal lighting in a sunny day. If the day is overcast then you can certainly choose late morning or early afternoon. Make sure to discuss with your photographer what time works best for your particular day.
