San Diego Marriage License Courthouse Wedding Photos | J + T
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love when couples get cute details to surprise their loved ones! In these San Diego Marriage License Courthouse Wedding Photos | J + T, J had a custom made denim jacket to honor her new last name! She waited until after the ceremony to show her husband. Since it was just the two of them at the wedding, we could take our time with the couple portraits and include surprises like this into the session. Instead of a “first look”, it was a first glance at her surprise jacket. T loved it! I used to see a lot of these things occur at traditional all day weddings. This is your reminder that just because it’s a San Diego civil wedding, you can still apply traditional wedding day details to your day!

If you are planning to do a more formal wedding later one, feel free to have fun with your San Diego courthouse wedding day! Wear that cute fun dress and make a fashion statement. Wear comfy shoes! You don’t have to wear a suit if you don’t wan to, but if you feel like looking dandy, do it! There are no rules on this day, just to be happy and have fun! Some people use this opportunity to really showcase their personality. I had one couple use legos for their bouquet and boutonniere because they were big lego fans!

A popular question I get it what time they should book their ceremony at. The ideal times are the first two time slots or the time slots that are two hours before sunset. However, I have shot at all different times of the day so if you can’t get one of those, have no fear! Basically you get the east facing part of the building with light in the morning. In the afternoon the west side of the building gets lit. Now when it’s overcast then the time of day is irrelevant. The light on the west side is cold in the morning since the sun is behind on the other side.
