San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | S + A
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love when couples choose to add a little adventure to their civil wedding. Now don’t get me wrong, the San Diego county office, which is where you get your marriage license, is beautiful! You don’t need to add another location per se. However, if you want to take this opportunity to add a location to commemorate this momentous celebration with another backdrop then go for it! Balboa Park is the easiest, as it’s a 7 minute drive from the county office. Other adventurous couples choose the beach. Hands down, I love La Jolla Cove! In these San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | S + A had the most romantic evening along the water! So picturesque!

Adding another location is super easy. As you get to dictate the timeline of the day, you let your guests know that you will be taking additional photos. If you have lunch or dinner plans after the ceremony, then they can head over there or take a break and freshen up before heading over to the scheduled event. If you don’t have any guests, then you can take as much time as you want for additional couple photos. Usually when people add the beach or, any location really, they add at least an hour of time. You don’t want to feel rushed! I want you to enjoy this time together. Where the phones are put away, you are all dressed up and you are celebrating each other!

Some couples do a civil wedding and call it a day. Others see a civil wedding as a “pre-wedding”. Regardless if it’s step 1 or all the steps, it gets treated like the most important day of your lives together! Because in that moment is when your lives start TOGETHER officially! My entire attention is dedicated to creating unforgettable images to an unforgettable day and of course to make sure you are having a good time! We laugh, we joke, I let you guys be “we”. I want the photos to reflect who you two are as a couple!
