San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photographer | Z + C
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love how the simplicity of the day puts couples at ease. There is no fuss about entertaining guests all day, about adhering to a rigid timeline, or spending an exuberant amount of money for your wedding day. The focus stays on the couple and whom they are committing to that day, each other! In these San Diego courthouse wedding photographer | Z + C, they were super present with one another and elevated their day by adding more time to their session to showcase their love with the beautiful Balboa Park backdrop! What looks like it took a thirteen hour plane ride across the world was just a short 5-7 minute drive!

There is no order to the day. We can either start with the ceremony, followed by friends and family photos and then end it with the couple portraits. Or in reverse, or start in the middle. What affects the order is light and timing. If you have a late morning ceremony appointment, then I will suggest we start with couple photos. The sun gets stronger in the middle of the day, so you want to either have portraits taken early morning or before sunset. I have worked at all times of the day, so no need to worry if you are not able to move things around. I always suggest couples book one of the first appointment times, so either 8am, 8:30am or 9am. For the afternoon, I would check on google what time sunset is on the day of your ceremony and book 2-3 hours before that time.

If there are particular places in Balboa Park that you want to be photographed at, make sure to let your photographer know. It doesn’t hurt to visit the park before your wedding to see if there are any spots you like. Or you can always refer to your photographer’s portfolio for inspiration too. Make sure to wear or bring comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of walking!
