San Diego Courthouse Wedding | Joanna + Harley

As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love making couples feel like great about themselves. Many times, this might be the first time they get their photos professionally taken. It is normal to feel nervous and awkward. I make it my priority to create an environment where you feel confident and comfortable, individually, and as a couple! Your courthouse wedding should be an incredible experience that you will never forget! My job is to capture those moments so you can relive the day forever! In these San Diego Courthouse Wedding | Joanna + Harley kicked off their wedding weekend with a Friday morning ceremony!

Choosing a ceremony time is dependent on many things. You might have something planned afterward, sunset time and weather. For example, in the summer time, you may want an early morning ceremony to avoid the heat. If it’s fall or winter, you may want an afternoon wedding to be in the warmer weather. Speaking of winter, sunset is earlier in the day, so your ceremony appointment would be earlier in the day vs in the summer when sunset is later. You basically want to calculate your ceremony time to be two hours before sunset.

Courthouse wedding are a great place to express your wedding day fashion! You can opt for a white dress with pants or a completely different color. No need to stick to traditional expectations. It is your day to shine and you should feel free to express it with your fashion as well! That also goes for accessories. A civil ceremony doesn’t mean you can’t go all out with your veil. I have had many brides wear cathedral veils and veils of all lengths! Whatever you envisioned wearing, you can bring it to life at any of the San Diego courthouse locations!
