San Diego Courthouse Wedding Elopement | Dana + John
The sun is finally back in San Diego and so are San Diego Courthouse weddings! With everything going on in the world with COVID-19, civil weddings are the best solution to wanting to get married in 2020 without any hassle. I had so much fun shooting Dana + John’s San Diego courthouse elopement! It was just the two of them, and I and we toured all around the San Diego County Administrator building, located at Waterfront Park, and then we finished across the street at the Marina.
In this San Diego courthouse wedding, they actually had their ceremony earlier in the day. I advised them that if they wanted to have that magic hour light that we should start our shoot later in the evening. They were open to the idea so we did a mock ceremony, which actually is great because we can take our time, it’s just the two of them. If you have a ceremony in the middle of the day but want that romantic light, just know we can always shoot later in the day. I am open to either scenario.
I fell in love with the bride’s blue shoes! Definitely a fun way to “have something blue”. That was all the accessory she needed. Didn’t even need a bouquet. That is the beauty of courthouse weddings, you can wear what you want, have whatever accessory you want or don’t want. It’s just about you and your fiancee and capturing the love of your special day!
The San Diego County Administrator building really is a gem! It takes you back in time and provides some of the most beautiful backdrops and romantic light. As a San Diego wedding photographer and San Diego Elopement photographer, I get so excited when asked to shoot a courthouse wedding! I really love the feel and photos I create here with my lovely couples!
