As a San Diego couples photographer, I love seeing the love! I think it’s great that dating couples or married couples still want to capture their relationship regardless of a big event happening. Every year is important, no matter the big or small things, and it’s great to be able to have photos to reflect back. In these Los Peñasquitos Ranch House Couple Photos | R + J were celebrating their new puppy! I couldn’t handle the cuteness!!! Puppies grow so fast, so you definitely want to capture them in their early stages. They change so much in the first year! Just like a baby 🙂 R + J made their session a destination session as they came down from Los Angeles.
San Diego has many diverse backdrops to choose from for your couples portrait session. You have beaches, city scape views, parks and more! So think about what resonates with you as a couple and what kind of outfit you want to wear. If you are in the mood to wear heels, the beach may not be your best option. (You can still always try). Couples shoot are fun way to get dressed up and also bond with your significant other! You live life everyday together and you get stuck in the routine. You may not even look into each others eyes for more than a few seconds. A couples shoot slows down the pace and really has you pay attention to one another. Of course while having fun!
You don’t have to worry about thinking the couples session is a big production. You can make it one, you can hire hair and make up, go shopping, etc. You can also just wear what you have and what reflects your style. You don’t need to buy an entire new outfit that doesn’t feel like you! You can do your own hair and make up too! If you never wear makeup, it will feel weird to get all done up and not feel like it’s you. The most important thing is to feel confident and comfortable while getting your photo taken. Don’t worry, I’ll be helping guide you with poses and your best angles!
