La Jolla Woman’s Club Wedding Photos | Adrienne + Gerry
As a San Diego wedding photographer I always enjoy the opportunity to capture a wedding at a new San Diego wedding venue. This was my chance with La Jolla Woman’s Club wedding photos |Adrienne + Gerry. Originally, the couple was going to have a courthouse wedding, but they found an opportunity to have their full wedding at the La Jolla Woman’s Club. Jessica, their wedding planner helped them have the most romantic wedding ever, enhanced with beautiful florals from AHR Florals.
The couple wasn’t too big on getting ready photos so we opted for just allowing one hour for that. When this happens I only focus on capturing the groom’s father putting on his jacket, the mom of the groom pinning the boutonniere, the mother of the bride zipping up the dress, formal portraits and immediate family portraits. We did a last minute father first look. A father first look is when he sees his daughter for the first time all dressed up. It was super special!
The ceremony was a beautiful! The sun was shining through to light up the ceremony spot. My favorite photo from the ceremony was when I captured the bride locking eyes with her grandmother. It was such a sweet moment! The bride wasn’t even sure if her grandmother was going to be able to make it, so it was extra special to have her there.
The great thing about having your wedding at the La Jolla Woman’s Club is having Cuvier Park, also known as The Wedding Bowl, so close! There are so many great spots nearby to shoot formal portraits and you can even do some mock ceremony photos to make it look like you got married there. We were super lucky that there wasn’t a wedding going on during our formal portrait time. We had the whole place to ourselves! Pro tip, we had the brothers groom drive us down so we could maximize our time since he was driving us back and we didn’t have to walk back.
