La Jolla Shores Beach Elopement | Melissa + Jose

January 23, 2020

If you are looking for sand, ocean, beach and palm trees for your beach elopement then look nowhere else but La Jolla Shores Beach. It is a popular beach, so if you plan on eloping in the summer time, there will be a lot of spectators. Winter time will definitely have less people and you will probably still get sunshine for the most part. The bride and groom, Melissa and Jose, were the cutest couple ever! I rarely see sunflowers, and I absolutely fell in love with them!

I also loved what they chose for their ceremony piece. Instead of a floral arch, they did a wooden triangle with sunflowers placed on either side in a staggered manner. I think it looked soooo cool! I really liked it! Matched perfectly of course with her wedding bouquet. This was all provided and coordinated by Dream Beach Wedding. They make your beach wedding seamless!

The ceremony was so cute and they both were very emotional about it. Sweet, romantic tears were definitely streaming during the vow exchange. These are some of my favorite moments during the ceremony. I love seeing the emotion, because it makes you feel their love that they have for one another.

La Jolla shores beach was active that day, but I tried my best not to get people in the background. Of course photoshop is there to help with that, but it’s always more time efficient to get a cleaner shot.

I absolutely loved the sunflowers with the ocean in the background. I like the contrast of yellow with blue waters. They were so cute and so in love. I had the twirling and spinning around. I was so impressed with Melissa’s twirls and poses and then her mom commented how she used to be a dancer and then it all made sense. She had such an effortless flow and glided throughout the session!
