La Jolla Scripps Beach Family Photos | V + B
As a La Jolla family photographer, the fall season brings a lot of repeat clients coming out to get their fall family portraits done. Many choose to have them done at the same location year after year while others choose new spots. I like either! It’s kind of fun to have the same place and see how you have changed. But I also see the appeal of choosing a new spot every year. Makes it fun to come together and decide a new place and outfit ideas that revolve around the new place. In these La Jolla Scripps Beach Family Photos | V + B, went back to where they started doing portraits with me. Scripps Beach is such a special place, especially when low tide is near sunset. The backdrops you get are jaw dropping!
I absolutely love photographing people in red outfits. The color is so flattering on everyone and it always contrasts nicely with the backdrop. It just gives the photo life! The matching kids outfits are adorable. Don’t feel like you have to dress your kids the same, they can each have their own look and style if they want. Either way works. Whatever makes the kids happy so that they smile 🙂 When preparing your looks for your shoot, have them all ready the day before. I would have them on hangers instead of folding them to avoid wrinkles. If you have small accessories, like bowties, I would double check they are packed. Might be worth placing into a small plastic bag and attaching to the hanger the outfit it pertains to.
If you are having your photos on the beach, be prepared to get wet! This is important to note so you can make the right choices on footwear, or lack of. Also, for clothes. Don’t wear anything where you don’t mind if it even got a little wet! Unless you are at a beach with just cliffs, you will get your toes a little wet. So plan on going barefoot or wearing shoes that are ok to get wet. Same goes for clothes!
