La Jolla Scripps Beach Family Photos | MB
As a San Diego family photographer, I love seeing my returning family clients every fall for their fall family portraits. I get to catch up with them and see the new additions to their family! Also get to see how much their kids have grown in a year! So much can change in a year, which is why families do their annual family portraits! Many families pick the same location year after year, while others choose new ones each time. In these La Jolla Scripps Beach Family Photos | MB, they picked a new beach location. I made sure to suggest dates where low tide would be at sunset. You just can’t get a better backdrop than at that time. Especially at Scripps Pier! You get a whole underwater world as your backdrop at low tide!

When considering colors for your outfits, I always encourage red! It photographs so well and I feel everyone looks good in red! You can always find your perfect shade of red! It’s a nice pop of color in contrast to the blue backdrop. Even if you go to a park, it’s a great color for a green backdrop. So when in doubt, red is always a great choice! I prefer red as a solid color than in patterns. Something to keep in mind.

The best time to book your family sessions, apart from low tide at sunset, is for a weekday! You avoid the crowds (as best you can) and it’s more relaxing. As a photographer, more spots are available to photograph so you don’t waste time waiting your turn. This tends to happen at Scripps Pier since it is a very popular spot. Obviously, if a weekday is not feasible for you, no need to worry! Your photographer will still be able to get great shots. There is always photoshop!
