La Jolla Cove Engagement Photos | M + M

As a La Jolla engagement photographer, I consistently suggest La Jolla Cove as a location for any type of photo session. With epic and stunning ocean views, and array of greenery there is nothing quite like it! When shooting in La Jolla, you always have to take the tide into consideration. At the Cove, unless your client wants toes in the sand, you can shoot almost anytime without the worry of high tide. This flexibility is crucial, especially when working with out of town clients who have specific dates. As was the case here, in these La Jolla Cove Engagement Photos | M + M, were visiting from out of town. Luckily the tide was in our favor.

When booking your engagement photo session, I always recommend getting your nails done! It’s time to show off that ring! In addition, moisturize those hands and arms, that goes for both of you. Especially in the winter time as some people are sensitive to the cold weather and their hands can get dry. I am certainly more prone to minor cuts when it’s cold out. Also consider whether you want any other jewelry or accessories in the shot as well. If you have a watch tan, prepare your wrist by not wearing it to get some color on your arm, safely.

For the most part, you can assume you will be barefoot. You should be barefoot as it goes more with the backdrop. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t wear shoes if your outfit demands it 😉 Just make sure to take them off when walking along the rocks and then you can safely put them on for the shot. I would suggest bringing a small towel to wipe off your feet before putting on the shoes.
