La Jolla Scripps Beach Engagement Photos | A + R
As a La Jolla engagement photographer, there is nothing I love more than sunset beach sessions at low tide! Especially at beaches with reefs and rocks. Low tide gives way to the underwater world! So when considering dates for your beach session, always take a look at the tide calendar to see when low tide is closest to sunset! This is something I always do with my clients. It gives them the best photo experience! In these La Jolla Scripps Beach Engagement Photos | A + R has an epic and beautiful sunset backdrop! The weather had been a little overcast lately, but it gave way to moments of sunshine! Scripps Beach, located in La Jolla, is one of my favorite beaches to photograph at during low tide!
As I mentioned before, there were hazy clouds but we got pockets of sunshine. When you are in that kind of weather environment, you seize those sunshine pocket moments! When you see clouds in the horizon, you know that the sun won’t last that long, so you take those opportunities to capture the light! Light takes priority over backdrop in those cases! Although almost all the backdrops at Scripps Beach are picture perfect!
Outfits! Almost always prepare to get a little wet when being photographed at the beach! So definitely take that into consideration when planning your looks! In this session, they were calf deep into the water. I was in shock to notice that A’s pant cuff dried off almost immediately! I was in shock as usually when someone wears beige pants you get that ombre look of two toned colors. I asked him about his pants and he said they were golf pants from Callaway. So I would like to take this opportunity to promote this as it is a game changer! It was like magic!
