La Jolla Maternity Photographer | A + T

As a La Jolla maternity photographer, I love when out of towners travel here on their baby moon to get their pregnancy photos taken! It’s a great way to capture your memorable trip without having a bunch of cell phone photos selfies! What is a baby moon? It’s the time around 7 months where you take that one last trip before you prepare for the final moments before giving birth. It is meant for you to relax and enjoy each other’s time together before you welcome your child! You don’t have to go very far, you can make it a road trip adventure. In these La Jolla Maternity Photographer | A + T traveled from Arizona to enjoy the coastal waters of La Jolla Cove. Although we were in the middle of a May gray, we were still able to capture some great photos!

When deciding on your maternity fashion looks, I am a big proponent of long maxi dresses. I also would suggest a dress that is sheer and / or exposes the baby bump. You could choose two dresses. One that is sheer and exposes baby bump and another that is long but is covered. Whatever is best for your comfort level. If you are planning on having a beach maternity photo session, then more than likely you will be barefoot. Just in case, you can bring some comfy and cute sandals. I would suggest flat, unless you can muster the energy to wear a little heel. Everyone is different.

Your partner can match you in color or wear another color. I always like to abide by the three color rule. This means you choose three colors for the session and that’s it. You can choose different shades of that color, but you stay within the three color family. This helps reduce any distractions. It keeps the focus on you. In a group of four to five people, one person can wear a print or pattern.
