La Jolla High School Senior Portraits | Nolan
As a La Jolla high school senior portrait photographer, I love seeing how kids express themselves. This is the age where kids are starting to become more independent and learn more about themselves. They start to develop hobbies and their own personal style. As a San Diego senior portrait photographer, it’s my job to capture who they are in this moment in time. In these La Jolla High School Senior Portraits | Nolan saved his stylish outfit for last. Also, this session was also part of a family session. Thus his mom picked other outfits to go with their family photos too.

When you or your kids are preparing for their senior pictures, start with the location. What location resonates the most with you or them? It could be a place frequented often, or a place they have always wanted to go. Your senior portraits don’t necessarily have to be in your hometown. You can totally travel for your portraits. You may have always wanted an ocean backdrop but don’t live near a beach. No problem, if you are able to then book a local photographer at a destination you want to go to.

Once a location is picked out, then you can move on to the outfits. It is important to know first where you will be having your senior portraits photographed so you can dress accordingly. With that being said, don’t think that just because you are on a beach you cannot wear a fanciful dress. By all means, wear what makes you feel great, comfortable and confident. Knowing your location though can prepare you for what to look out for as far as terrain and water.

Haircuts and hair do’s can be a big deal so I would avoid making any changes to your hair right before the shoot. I would test them out far in advance in case you need to make any changes that can be done in time.
