La Jolla Cove Grad Portraits | KR

As a La Jolla portrait photographer, I love taking grad photos! It’s such an exciting time in a student’s life! They are wither completing schooling or starting a higher level of education. It’s such an impactful time in their life. They have goals to achieve, new things to learn, it definitely leaves a mark in their lifetime. What better way to capture that than with a grad portrait photo session! Many students choose to get their photos taken on campus, but don’t feel limited. Others do a combination of campus and a second location or others choose an off campus location. It’s about commemorating the moment, and doesn’t necessarily have to be at the school itself. In these La Jolla Cove Grad Portraits | KR, brought a special guest, her dog!

Usually grad portraits are done solo, with your significant other or with family. Other grads also choose to do their big group of friends. Pets are aways welcome as long as they are allowed at the location. Ask your photographer if there are any limitations on who participates in the session. If doing big groups, keep in mind the lighting can become an issue. You won’t have enough of the optimal light for every person if the group is very large.

It seems as if white outfits is the trend or tradition for graduation photos. Don’t feel obliged if you rather choose another color or print. These are your photos and you can wear what you like. You can even have multiple outfits as well! Extend your session time to allow for outfit changes. While on the topic, you don’t have to do all your photos in your cap and gown. You can always hold the cap, or have the gown open. So feel free to treat yourself to a cute outfit and get some great photos of you in it!
