La Jolla Cove Family Photos | S + C
As a La Jolla family photographer, I love shooting at La Jolla Cove. It’s no surprise as a lot of my sessions I post are taken there. Besides having a great mix of palm trees, blue waters, cliffs, stone wall and more, I know I can take someone there at any time and they can have the ocean as their backdrop. I can’t promise them that I they can put their toes in the sand, that depends on the tide, but I know I can always have one of the prettiest backdrops along the coastline in their photos. In these La Jolla Cove Family Photos | S + C got to experience it for the first time as they were traveling from out of town. I highly recommend getting couple photos or family photos taken while on vacation. It’s a great way to remember the trip without having a bunch of cell phone selfies!
Though you may not always have toes in the sand, I do recommend dressing as if you will be barefoot. On the rocks and cliff areas, it’s better to have a good footing and I think it’s easier and safer when barefoot. Of course, you can always get to the spots barefoot and then put on your shoes if you want to be wearing shoes in the photos. It doesn’t make a difference for me, but I will always suggest the safer way to walk. So if you do want to wear shoes, bring a small towel to wipe off your feet so you don’t get your shoes dusty.
If you plan on being outside when visiting San Diego, no matter what time of the year it is, please wear sunscreen! Just because it’s the fall or winter, doesn’t mean the sun doesn’t burn. If it’s super sunny out, there is always a chance of getting sunburned. You don’t want that to happen before your portrait session! Always have sunscreen handy!
