As a La Jolla couples photographer, I love getting to share the beauty of our beaches with out of town clients. The La Jolla coastline boasts or clear blue waters, white sandy beaches and tons of wildlife! It makes for an epic backdrop for any type of photo session. Extra romantic for a San Diego couples or engagement photo session! The best times are early morning and, of course, sunset. If you want that extra mood, definitely opt for a sunset. One of the challenges I see clients having with their couples or engagement session is before the photoshoot. It’s deciding what to wear! You are spending the time and money on these photos and you want to make sure they are perfect! Totally understandable! Give yourself time to put together some options. Make sure to try them on before the session too! You want to see how they look together and make sure any fittings or alternations that are needed are completed in time. For the ladies, I am a huge fan of long flowy dresses. They are just so flirty and fun to use as a prop. Great thing about beach photo sessions is that you don’t have to worry about shoes!
Not used to being in front of the camera? No worries at all! Your photographer will help guide you throughout the session. He or she may offer some tips at the beginning. Don’t worry, it’s not a test. Your photographer will continue to remind you of the tips as you the session goes on. It just helps to give you a quick rundown at the beginning. Most important thing is that he or she will make you feel confident and comfortable!
