Imperial Beach Maternity Photos | Lauren + Nate
This was such a special beach maternity shoot as I shot their wedding the year before! As a San Diego photographer, I love continuing to be the one to capture special moments in my clients lives as they get married and start their families! These Imperial Beach maternity photos were extra special for my client as they were moving and wanted to keep this special place for their memories.

We bopped around and started in their home, then Imperial Beach by the pier and then Centennial Park in Coronado. They chose a longer session to have enough time for all the spots and for the outfit changes. It’s always fun and a great excuse to go shopping to have different outfits for your maternity shoot. That way you can mix it up and wear long or mid or tight and flowy. I always have a hard time choosing THE outfit, so to be able to have different maternity dress options is great!

It had been awhile since I had shot at Centennial Park and I forgot how beautiful those cityscape views are! San Diego is such a beautiful place! I love that we have so many beautiful backdrops to choose from! Also, great that a lot of them are so close to one another yet so different in views.

If you are pregnant and wondering when you should schedule your maternity shoot, I always say it’s when you start to show and feel comfortable. Usually as early as 7 months and as late as 1 week before due date. Everyone is different and shows differently and feels differently so there are no rules. Many are running around up until they give birth and others are on bedrest for a month before. Weekdays are always better for shoots, especially if you want your photos at the beach because there are less people.
