ENGAGEMENT photos: Old Town, San Diego
San Diego engagement photo season is in full effect! These San Diego engagement photos: Old Town, San Diego were a blast to take! I cannot wait to shoot their wedding this winter! These were taken next to the Whaley House. No ghosts were seen 😉

When I went to scout out the location, I immediately fell in love with this red brick color wall. I thought it was a clean wall and I like the green shutters with the white panel. I knew I wanted to place them in front of this wall. Nice rich colored texture for a background. Spanish/ Mediterranean feel.

The green from the grass and hanging trees added a nice touch and contrast to the brick colored wall too. So naturally I had them do a few twirls and since the bride to be had a beautiful long maxi dress, I had her work that train!

As you can tell I was getting obsessed with this wall. Then I started to move them towards the interior of the garden area of the Whaley House. The big, I think Willow, trees were just absolutely beautiful!

Originally when we decided on shooting in Old Town, we were going to go to the park area where all the old saloon type places are located. But of course, there is always a crowd. This area by the Whaley House was perfect and hardly any people walking by. There is also a cafe next door, which was perfect as their parents came and joined to watch the engagement photo session.

You can find all different types of backgrounds near the Whaley House. There is that beautiful brick colored wall, then an actual brick wall, followed by white patio and green patio. It offers a diverse place for photos, which is great for photographers and all in one location!! With great lighting!

That’s right! Their little bundle of joy joined us for the shoot as well!! She lied getting her photo taken!! She was all smiles!! I love how the bride to be’s red maxi dress contrasts with the white patio!

I just can’t! Mommy + Me need a modeling agent!! They make a great team! So cute and so natural in front of the camera!!

Uff and then the richness of this cage area. With the lush trees and green plants and staircase! The red dress really popped out here!
