WEDDING photos: Lake Arrowhead Resort

Love shooting destination weddings! Although this was a drivable one, it was still fun! The wedding photos: Lake Arrowhead Resort had such beautiful scenery. It’s right next to Big Bear, so the drive was around 3 hours. I am actually shooting another wedding this year at Big Bear. I have those mountainous trees!

I love witnessing little details in weddings. Not all weddings are the same, so it makes each one exciting. In this case, the bride has written a love note, along with a wedding present to her future husband. And yes, I definitely had a YASSS moment when he choked up and teared up while reading his love note. She knows him to the T!

The groom and groomsmen certainly enjoyed their presents! They were each presented with an individually wrapped groomsmen gift. There was excitement in the air as they were all ready to get the ceremony underway. But first, portraits and group shots! The photo kind too 😉

As we were walking down to the lake, we came across this stone wall that I thought was just too good to pass up! As I always mention, I love having different background in portraits so that the client has a diverse array of photos.

The groomsmen were tons of fun and they were up for anything. It was too cold to get in the water, but I am sure they would have had it not been wintery wind chill! They wanted to impersonate the Beatles, so of course we did the walking photo. I love the mix of green forest trees and blue water lake.

Shot some quick family portraits before the ceremony as the light was hitting just right. As this was a winter wedding, that golden light appears and disappears pretty quickly.

The little ring bearer was adorably shy. So cute! The backdrop of the wedding was gorgeous! We did loose a little bit of that warm light, but the ceremony was still magical! Th bride and groom had mentioned how excited they were to be getting married at the Lake Arrowhead Resort. They said it was exactly what they wanted!

I mean what a way to cheers to a beautiful new chapter in their lives than being surrounded by tall forest trees! Everyone was a bit cold, but it was definitely worth it! Plus they had delicious and warm food waiting for them at reception!
