Balboa Park Elopement Wedding | K + C
As a San Diego elopement photographer, I love Balboa Park weddings! Balboa Park has so many diverse backdrops to offer that it transports you to many different parts of the world! There are different parts of the park that offer ceremony locations. Make sure to reach to them to obtain your permit. Keep in mind that it doesn’t prohibit people from walking in the area nearby. The permit simply allows you to have your ceremony there. So there could be people in your backdrop. To help alleviate this, I would suggest a morning appointment or a weekday wedding. In this Balboa Park Elopement Wedding | K + C, had an afternoon elopement on a weekend. They had their closest friends and family members with them.

Balboa Park is huge! If you have specific locations you want your photographer to capture you at, then please let him or her know. Take into consideration the distance between locations and how much time would be needed. You can always add time to your couple portraits portion. If you have different spots, then prepare yourself with some comfortable shoes or being an extra pair of shoes to change into. The last thing you want is blisters on your feet!

Another bonus about having your ceremony at Balboa Park is that you can have dinner there as well. While you and your partner are getting your couple portraits taken, there are a couple restaurants that can host your dinner reception. El Prado being the most popular. You always have downtown San Diego and Little Italy as well. Banker’s Hill is right next door and also has a handful of great restaurants to choose from. So rest assured that you can have a seamless elopement wedding at Balboa Park. You can focus on having a great time!
