Wedding Photos: Bali Hai
As I mentioned in my previous post, I do reside in San Diego. What I failed to mention is how AMAZING it is to live in San Diego, California! You want to feel like you are in an urban city, head on over to downtown; you want that beach town feel, you have plenty of neighborhoods to choose from; you want to get lost in the trees, go right ahead. It’s all here for you in San Diego. When I take wedding photos, I like to give my clients a variety of backdrops, different textures so they have a diverse wedding photo album. Cue Bali Hai; their venue offers such a variety of backdrops that it makes it one of my favorite San Diego wedding venues for wedding photos: Bali Hai.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Bali Hai, it is a restaurant in San Diego, California. For those of you who know, or are drink connoisseurs, know that’s where you can find its famous MAI TAI! Your guests will be eager to attend your wedding, no doubt about it! CHEERS!
If you are thinking, well where will I get ready if this is a restaurant? Rest assured you have Humphreys Half Moon Inn a short walk away! This is where the bride and groom got ready themselves along with their wedding party. It’s a great space as it adds a tropical feel with all the palm trees and lush green surroundings! The first look, formal portraits and wedding party portraits were taken here.
But I needed more! More backgrounds! Around the back of Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn is the marina. We went in and took a few shots there too! Cause who doesn’t love some boats and yachts? 🙂
We then headed over to Bali Hai for the ceremony. Guests enjoyed views of Downtown San Diego + the lovely bride and groom!
Even though we did a first look and took formal portraits before the ceremony, it’s still fun to take a couple more formal portraits post – I Do. All up to the clients of course. Some prefer to get the party started and join in on cocktail hour with their guests. It’s your wedding, you do you 🙂
Don’t worry, they still had time to party!! As I mentioned, those Mai Tai’s are a guarantee good time!
