San Diego Waterfront Park Couples Photos | P + C
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I have been fortunate enough that the weather has always been cooperative. In this courthouse wedding with P + C, the weather did get us! So on the day of the wedding, we did all interior photos, as the rain didn’t stop. So I offered to do their couple photos on a different day, when the weather was better. Plus they had mentioned maybe wanting to do a beach session. They ended up deciding to come back to waterfront park, but instead wanted to wear casual outfits. So it became more of a couples photo session, although the bride did bring her flowers from her wedding day and their dog!
Of course it was sunny all day and then the clouds rolled in, but we still managed to get lovely photos! The positive thing about clouds, is that any location is up for grabs! So we shot everywhere and we got to use the building as much as we wanted to. Since the spot I like from the building faces west, we didn’t have to worry about the sun setting and getting in their eyes. So if you ever encounter clouds in your session, don’t get bummed. If you start the session earlier, it will all work out!
It was great to be able to incorporate their dog in their session! For anyone who has a dog, having nice, professional photos with your pet is everything! Such a great memory! If possible, it’s easier if you can take their leash off. However, if your dog is a runner, then a neutral color leash is great! Also, always remember to remove the poop bags from the leash. That way you don’t have this bulgy item sticking out.
