San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | S + D
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, it’s always fun to add a second location for your wedding portraits. With so many different locations nearby, it makes it easy to hop in the car and drive a short distance that makes you feel like you are far away! You can do something super close like downtown San Diego or Balboa Park. If you want to add the ocean, you can do Sunset Cliffs or La Jolla Cove. It all depends on what your preference is and what resonates with you two as a couple. In these San Diego Courthouse Wedding Photos | S + D chose to add Balboa Park! Every time I photograph this place I love it more and more!

When adding a second location, you may need to add time to your session. Depending on how far away it is and how much time you want to allocate to each spot. That is totally up to you. Ask your photographer for their suggestion. The county office varies on how quickly they marry you. Just because your appointment may be at three in the afternoon, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be wed at that time. You have to process paperwork and wait for he officiant to become available. Remember that there are other appointments going on at the same time and before you. If previous appointments are running late, then you can expect yours to as well.

If you are wanting to add a second location, I would suggest booking your appointment at least three hours before sunset time. You can always check the sunset time on a tide calendar or ask GOOGLE. Always check with your photographer first for their suggestion. You can also start early morning at the other location and then do your ceremony afterwards. There is no particular order. It’s all up to you.
