San Diego Courthouse Wedding + Balboa Park Wedding Photos | Jenna + Ryan
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I love seeing couples treat their intimate day like a “traditional” wedding. What I mean by this, is that they still want the flu day captured. This includes getting ready photos, family portraits, a first look and more! Many people are under the impression that a courthouse wedding is boring and doesn’t convey the same emotion that a “traditional” wedding does. I am here to tell you that is false. All the emotions are still there and you can still capture the entire event. Just like in these San Diego Courthouse Wedding + Balboa Park Wedding Photos | Jenna + Ryan. They valued the entire day and wanted photos to look back on.

They made their friends and family feel like they were attending a traditional wedding. During the getting ready session, they had decorated their home with a breakfast buffet and decorations. A breakfast reception if you will. They were still going to have a celebratory lunch with the family, but they added that special touch since we started the morning early. Jenna had her makeup done in her home by the talented Julee. You can’t ask for more than a make up house call!

Let’s talk florals! Jenna’s bouquet and Ryan’s boutonniere were amazing! Provided by the talented San Diego wedding florist, Breezy Day Florals. I have photographed all kinds of florals. You can splurge or save, it is totally up to you! You can do live or non living flowers. Whatever moodboard you have envisioned for your florals. San Diego has so many talented florists!

During your normal portraits, you can have your guests grab a drink at one of the many nearby restaurants. Or you can have them participate in a fun activity. Jenna has the fun idea to have her guests get a tour from the Old Town Trolley. It was a great way to entertain them, while we had our fun shooting their formal couple portraits. We timed it so that their last stop ended where we finished, that way we could do a group photo with everyone in the trolley.
