Encinitas Landscape Photos | Soil + Sea | Palenque

As an Encinitas landscape photographer, I never tire of seeing the amazing and creative projects that landscape businesses come up with. One of my regulars is Soil + Sea landscape and their work is nothing regular! It is so sophisticated and elegant. They take your landscape goals to another level! They never cease to amaze me on what they are capable. Whether they are working on a huge piece of land or a narrow walkway. Everything they touch turns to green, lush beauty. In these Encinitas Landscape Photos | Soil + Sea | Palenque, I could not have pictured a more perfect putting green! As a golfer myself, I was so excited to photograph it and show my husband!

In this session, I used both of my CANON prime lenses. The 85mm and the 35mm. Sometimes I bring the 24 mm to make sure I get the entire width of the project. In this case, I was able to capture that using my 35mm. These prime lenses are key to getting these amazing shots! We normally shoot these landscape sessions at sunset and into blue hour. To ensure we capture the lighting work that Soil + Sea does, we need some darkness to showcase how the lights illuminate the trees and plants. I don’t want to use flash at all, as my editing is more natural. So having prime lenses is essential to shoot in low natural light.

Your landscape clients want to make sure that their hard work in planting all the trees and bushes, etc are growing or are lush. If you shoot too early on you don’t get to see the potential of how dense the fauna can look. Also make sure the area is cleaned up. Your client should have a blower and should be there at the start of your shoot to make sure everything is trimmed to their liking for the photos.
