Encinitas Landscape Photos | Soil + Sea | G

As an Encinitas landscape photographer, I get to work a lot with Soil + Sea Landscape design. They do such incredible work! What they create and transform with people’s front and back yards it quite literally art! I never tire of photographing landscape projects. There are so many angles to view things from, and heights! You can use the plants as foreground or backdrop! My favorite is seeing the before photos and how they create an entirely new feel for their clients! In these Encinitas Landscape Photos | Soil + Sea | G, they transformed the backyard into an oasis! Having your landscape redone is a complete upgrade to your home!

From gates to plants, from cement pour to lighting; they do it all! What is fun about shooting these landscape projects is seeing it in daylight (more like evening light) and twilight time. So we can see it illuminated by the sun and the outdoor lighting. No point in doing all this beautiful landscape work if you can’t see it light up at night. Outdoor lighting is another component to upgrading your outdoor living! Soil + Sea will help you from start to finish!

If you want a grill set up or a putting green, they can help you design the perfect fit for your backyard! This is why I always bring a variety of lenses with me to these shoots. I like to capture the entire feel, so I use a 24mm or 35mm to showcase everything at once. Then I use my 85mm to focus on the details. Having an array of lenses helps me to capture different focal points on my subject. In Landscape, your subject can be huge or tiny. So it’s good to be prepared for any situation. I use prime lenses, so I can shoot wide. I don’t ever want to use my flash during twilight. I just make my lens super wide. I like the natural feel that it gives rather than using flash!
