Summer is slowly tip toeing in! When it’s hot out, you just want full on light and breezy comfort! When it comes to maternity wardrobe, cue MAXI dresses! For these commercial photos: PinkBlush Maxi Maternity Dress was shot in Laguna Beach. PinkBlush is always my go to suggestion for pregnant moms booking their maternity shoots with me. They always seem to find something they like and fits their style and vibe!
I loved the green background for these photos! First I started with more wider shots, to give more casual walking photos. Whenever there is a maxi dress involved I always have the model give it a twirl! With her comfy wedges it was no problem! I loved the color! They go with anything!
Nothing says fun and casual like a flowy, floral, maxi dress! It saves you time on thinking of choosing a top and bottom. Also, you can always dress it up or down, pun intended 😉 This one in particular has a flirty ruffled top portion. And it’s off the shoulder, so adds a little femininity.
It was a bit overcast while shooting, but at least it gave some even light. That’s why I wanted to focus on great contrasting backdrops to add a great color contrast. This way it distracts from the gloomy cloudy weather. Her fun earrings also added a nice color pop to the outfit! Love the turquoise.
I love using my canon 70-200mm lens!! It makes photos like the one above so creamy. I love how I can quickly crop in the composition of the photo. You would have thought we were out on a farm, in the middle of a field! Nope, all you need is to surround the immediate subject with fun backdrops and crop that in.
