Children’s Lifestyle Fashion Photos | Wild Wawa Spring Summer 2024
As a San Diego lifestyle photographer, I love working with fashion brands. Especially kids fashion brands because the looks are always so cute! Working with the same client, Wild Wawa, year after year is so rewarding! Every time the shoots get better and more efficient. We know the sweet spots to book kids talent are and best locations! When working with young talent, you have to be prepared with patience and preventative measures. I’ll go into more detail later. In this Children’s Lifestyle Fashion Photos | Wild Wawa Spring Summer 2024 we had some amazing looks put together! The location and weather worked in our favor!
Talent always comes with a parent or guardian. We always have them come a few minutes early so they can check in and get their looks handed to them. Always make sure they are wearing white or neutral color diapers as the colored ones can sometimes show through the clothes. If you are giving them any treats or snacks, please make sure they don’t have crumbs or colors. For example, you wouldn’t want to give them a blue lollipop or they will end up with a blue tongue!
Usually, you are photographing a season out of season. For example, you are photographing spring/summer in the fall/winter. You are always at least one season ahead. So obviously it’s not ideal for warm clothing in cold weather and cold weather clothing in warm weather. So always let your talent and their guardians know to bring something warm or have something to cool down with. When shoots have a long duration, then refreshments and snacks are provided. We have cut our shoots down to one hour total. This way we avoid, for the most part, any meltdowns from the little ones.
