As a San Diego portrait photographer, spring time comes with lots of requests for San Diego graduation photos! Let us not forget those who graduate in the wintertime though! If you graduated in December or January, you don’t have to wait till springtime for your grad photos! You can get them down right away! Some people might be leaving for somewhere else so they can’t wait around for the springtime. As a San Diego graduation photographer, I love capturing this momentous occasion for college and university grads! There are so many colleges and universities here in San Diego. Many choose to have their grad sessions on campus while others like to go offsite. In these Balboa Park Graduation Photos | T + R graduated from her masters program and was joined by her husband and family in the photos.
Most grads like to have an outfit change. Or they keep the same outfit and switch out stoles. Some may have 1 up to 4! You can wear the whole cast and gown and stoles or you can choose to wear certain pieces. This is your shoot and your call. As I let me clients choose their photos after the session, before editing them. I always suggest we just do all the different combinations so they have a variety to choose from. When dealing with the cap though, always be gentle and very careful not to damage the grad’s hair. If you are completely opposed to wearing the cap, then go ahead and let your photographer know.
If you choose Balboa Park as your photoshoot location, keep in mind there is a lot of walking involved. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes so you don’t get sore! A pair of easy slip ons will help with the longer walks!
