San Diego Courthouse Wedding | M + M
As a San Diego courthouse wedding photographer, I have had many experiences capturing San Diego civil weddings in all kinds of weather and times of the year. Whether it’s overcast or sunny, I always make sure to find a way to capture the best moments of your special day. Even when there is an event going on, as Waterfront park is adjacent to the county office, I always manage to find interesting corners or alcoves! You can always check on the San Diego county clerk’s office website whether there is an event that could impact your wedding. What that means is that you won’t have access to the outdoor arbor on the west side. No need to worry as there is another, even more beautiful spot, where you can get married. For the couple portraits, we can head over to Balboa Park or another offsite location that resonates with you two. In these San Diego Courthouse Wedding | M + M’s love shone through on a gloomy day!

The beauty of courthouse weddings is that you make your own rules. You can have guests or it can just be you two. (I can be your witness, no need to pay the additional fee from the county office). You can celebrate afterwards with friends and family at a nearby restaurant or you can opt for a second location, offsite and do more couple portraits. You don’t have to follow the traditional full day wedding timeline. The day is to be spent however you wish. Many people choose to have a civil wedding to avoid all the overwhelming stress of planning a more traditional wedding. They want to just focus on the commitment of each other. Don’t for one second think that a civil wedding strips you of the “emotion” of a traditional wedding. The tears of joy still flow during your vows!
